Terms & Conditions

  • The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) will use Registrants’ personal data for the following purposes:
    • processing enrolment in the course(s). Registrants’ personal data will be retained and transferred to the online registration platform and contact management system respectively. The data will also be used by relevant offices within HKFI and the partnering training institute (if applicable) in activities in support of Registrants’ study at HKFI and the partnering training institute (if applicable).
    • statistical and research purposes (no personal identifiers such as name, license number on the Register of Licensed Insurance Intermediaries of the Insurance Authority, company name, position, email address and telephone number will be released in the survey results).
    • delivering the announcements of HKFI and other promotional information related to activities, courses, and benefits & services to me. Registrants’ data including name, e-mail address and telephone number may be used for this purpose. If registrants do not wish to receive information mentioned above, please send us email at training@hkfi.org.hk.
  • Registrant must declare that all particulars given in this form are true and correct to the best of his/her knowledge.
  • HKFI reserves the rights to cancel any courses, and to make variations to the schedules, contents, and mode of delivery of the courses offered.
  • HKFI reserves the rights to accept, reject or cancel any enrolment application at its sole discretion.
  • Enrolment is made on first come, first served basis. Seat cannot be reserved by phone or email.
  • Except for unsuccessful applications or course cancellation, course fees paid are not refundable.
  • Under the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, applicants have rights to request access to, and the correction of, their personal data. Applicants wishing to access or make corrections to their data should submit written requests to HKFI. All enquiries should be directed to HKFI:

CPD/eCPD Course Enrolment

All enrollees / learners must undertake studies in the course in person. Impersonators, or any other incidents of allowing an impostor to take any of the learning activities on the learner’s behalf for the purpose of claiming CPD hours under the CPD guideline, will be reported to the Insurance Authority and / or other law enforcement agencies. Such incidents may adversely affect the fitness and properness of the persons involved and may result in a disciplinary action to be taken by the Insurance Authority against these persons.

For eCPD:
  1. Learners would be prompted to input one-time passwords (“OTP”) sent directly through SMS to their Hong Kong mobile phone number pre-registered with HKFI. Learners must enter correct OTP in order to continue the e-learning activity.
  2. Learners would be asked to participate in all e-learning activities including providing correct answers to small quizzes relevant to content of the course in order to continue the e-learning.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Except for unsuccessful applications or course cancellation, course fees paid are not refundable.

Adverse Weather Arrangements

  • Events scheduled for morning session will be postponed or cancelled if typhoon signal no. 8 or above or black rain signal remain hoisted at 7:00 am or the HK Observatory announces that typhoon no. 8 or above or black rain signal will be hoisted at or after 7:00 am.
  • Events scheduled for afternoon session will be postponed or cancelled if typhoon signal no. 8 or above or black rain signal remain hoisted at 12:00 noon or the HK Observatory announces that typhoon no. 8 or above or black rain signal will be hoisted at or after 12:00 noon.
Notice of event postponement, cancellation or other arrangements will be sent to all registered registrants by email or SMS.
