The e-CPD curriculum aims to provide a comprehensive review on the Best Practice on Standardizing Underwriting Questionnaire for Individual Indemnity Hospital Insurance Plans (SUQ), which was issued by the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers in October 2020.  The SUQ is for insurers’ voluntary adoption.  Starting from 1 January 2022, all VHIS providers will be mandated to adopt the SUQ in obtaining health-related information when handling new and migration applications for VHIS certified plans.

The eCourse will also provide you with a clear overview of the rationale behind each and every question contained in the SUQ.  On completion of this eCourse, learners will have a better general understanding of the SUQ which helps learners demonstrate their professional knowledge to assist prospective policy applicants and reduces potential disputes that may arise during claims settlement.

Learners can earn 1.5 Compulsory IA-CPD hours on “Ethics or Regulations” and 1.5 MPF non-core CPD hours after completing all e-learning activities and the end-of-activity (“EoA”) assessment with at least 7 correct answers out of 10 MC questions.  If a learner fails to achieve a pass mark in the EoA assessment after 4 attempts, his/her enrolment will be terminated.  Please note, all fees paid are non-refundable.  To earn the CPD hours of the eCourse, the learner must re-enroll in the eCourse again, complete all e-learning activities and achieve the pass mark in the EoA assessment.

The 2020/2021 Edition of this eCourse is only applicable for the 2020/2021 CPD assessment period.  To obtain the CPD hours of this eCourse, all learners must fully complete the e-Learning activities and pass the EoA assessment on or before 31 July 2021.
