In November 2020, the China Insurance Association and the Chinese Medical Association jointly revised the disease definitions of critical illness insurance established in 2007 published the "Usage Guidelines for Disease Definitions of Critical Illness Insurance in China 2020".  The purpose of this course is to assist insurance intermediaries in Hong Kong in betther understanding the disease definitions for critical illness insurance (refer to as "specified illness insurance" in Hong Kong) as defined in mainland China by explaining and elaborating on these "Usage Guidelines".  We will explore the similarities or resemblances between the definitions in both regions' industries, as well as areas that require special attention.  The aim is to equip insurance intermediaries with more professional knowledge to provide higher-quality services to policyholders.

 

Upon completing all e-learning activity and the end-of-activity ("EoA") assessment with at least 4 correct answers out of 5 MC questions, a learner can earn 1 IA-CPD hour and 1 MPF non-core CPD hour.

 

If a learner fails to achieve a pass mark in the EoA assessment after 4 attempts:

  • his/her enrollment will be terminated.
  • to earn CPD hours of this eCourse, the learner must enroll in the eCourse again, complete all e-learning activities and achieve the pass mark in the EoA assessment.

Criteria of obtaining CPD hour: complete the e-Learning activity and pass the EoA assessment within the course validity period, or in any case, on or before 31 July 2024.
